If you have never bought a stairlift before, it helps to know what happens and when. There is nothing complicated about it. Here is how it works with Stairlift Solutions, a local family business with our office on the Loughgall Road in Armagh, serving Portadown, Bessbrook, Crossmaglen and every corner of County Armagh.
Step 1: Call us. Ring 02891 882249 and tell us a little about your stairs and who will be using the lift.
Step 2: Free survey. We book you in for a FREE home survey, where an experienced member of our team measures up and then explains the results to you in plain terms.
Step 3: Choose your lift. You can pick from new, reconditioned and ex-rental models, in straight or curved versions for inside stairs or steps outdoors. A reconditioned straight lift can start from £950 installed, and renting suits a short-term need. We keep prices reasonable and the equipment good quality, so you can weigh up the options without pressure.
Step 4: Fitting. Our team installs the lift in your home once you have made your choice, working from the measurements taken at the survey.
Step 5: Aftercare. Every lift comes with a full warranty, our customer care team can be reached on a line that is open 24/7, and we can service and maintain the lift for you in the years after.
One company handles each stage, so you are never passed from firm to firm:
From Portadown to south Armagh, we cover: Portadown, Bessbrook, Crossmaglen, Camlough, Forkhill, Newtownhamilton, Mullaghbawn, Jonesborough, Poyntzpass, Markethill, Tandragee, Keady, Craigavon, Lurgan, Armagh.
Brooks Slimline Stairlifts
Suits: straight stairs. The Brooks Slimline is long-lasting and reliable, and we frequently offer it reconditioned. Expect a gentle start and stop on every trip, remote controls for calling and sending the chair, and DC power packs that recharge by themselves once each journey is finished.
Brooks 180 Curved Stairlifts
Suits: stairs with a curve. Brooks designed the 180 around curved staircases, and it can be fitted to either the inner or the outer curve. Its reliability and features are equal to those of the Brooks straight models.
HomeGlide Stairlifts
Suits: straight stairs on a tighter budget. HomeGlide is a reliable, robust lift with basic features, a swift installation and a very competitive price. It is safe and glides quietly and smoothly, and it is supplied and installed by us across County Armagh.

Bespoke Synergy
Suits: straight stairs where looks matter. The Bespoke Synergy is compact and simple to operate, with detailed design and hidden features. Its rail ranks with the slimmest produced globally, so it stays unobtrusive in your hall.
Bespoke Infinity
Suits: curved stairs and independent living. The Bespoke Infinity brings British quality and comfort so you can manage with minimum help, and its parts are guaranteed for 2 years as standard. Our team provides expert advice and installation.
Acorn Stairlifts
Suits: buyers looking at reconditioned lifts. Acorn, a familiar name, is among the most popular reconditioned stairlifts, with a simple design that is easy to use, easy to maintain and top quality throughout.
Reconditioned Stairlifts
Suits: saving money. Our full range of reconditioned straight lifts includes lifts we have bought back from our own customers. Prices start from £950 installed, and each price reflects the lift's age and condition, plus any warranty. Every lift is cleaned, tested, checked and fully serviced before it is refitted, and most are as good as new to look at.
Rental Stairlifts
Suits: a short-term need. Rent a stairlift on our 6 or 12 month scheme, then return the lift when the rental period is over. It is a practical choice when you only expect to need help with the stairs for a limited time.
Outdoor Stairlifts
Suits: steps outside the house. The outdoor lift we fit on external straight flights is a Brooks, and it works the same way as the indoor model. It is protected by outdoor components and a tough, durable plastic cover that guards against snow, rain, light and heat, at homes and businesses.
Extended Warranties
Suits: extra peace of mind. Our stairlifts are very reliable, though an extended warranty protects you against breakdowns and unforeseen repair bills. It is part of our after-sales care, with the team available around the clock.
Mobility Scooters
Suits: getting around outdoors. We have a wide range of mobility scooters from Sterling, Supascoota, Invacare and more. Call our experts to talk through which might work best for you.
Riser Recliners
Suits: sitting and standing more easily. Royams, a family firm from Britain going for almost 40 years, makes these riser recliners and gives a personalised service. There are three sizes (Petite, Standard, Kingsize), many fabrics and frames, the Patented Lift, a battery backup and 5 years' guarantee on motor and mechanisms. High seat chairs too, delivered across Armagh.
Rollators
Suits: walking with support. Coopers rollators are lightweight for use indoors and outdoors, and they bring together quality, safety, comfort and design. They are available in a choice of models, sizes and colours, delivered to your home.
Manual Wheelchairs
Suits: a dependable everyday chair. BREEZY standard manual wheelchairs offer quality, are dependable and operate easily, with folding frames in steel or aluminium. Each is tested to make sure the ride is stable.
Powered Wheelchairs
Suits: powered independence. Our electric wheelchairs work indoors or outdoors and pair strong performance with good manoeuvrability. Seating systems, drive bases and expandable controls can be chosen to match your needs.
Ramps
Suits: steps and thresholds. For everyday use, our portable access ramps come in carbon fibre, anodised aluminium, rubber or plastic, at prices for most budgets. They are light in weight yet built for maximum safety and load.
Bathroom Aids
Suits: bathing and showering safely. Coopers bathroom aids support independent bathing, with safety features built in, like locking mechanisms for stability and textured surfaces that wet hands can grip firmly.
Toilet Aids
Suits: everyday dignity. The Coopers range of continence and toileting aids has practical features that help you keep your independence, so routine tasks stay in your own hands at home.
